Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Frank Kossu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kossu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Viunaa. Marcus Davis has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marcus Davis! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kossu throws a nice looking combination but Davis bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Frank Kossu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kossu connects with a nice looking jab.
Davis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Kossu fails in his attempt to clinch. A telegraphed right hand from Kossu misses the target. Kossu lands an overhand right. Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kossu pinned against the cage. Kossu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Davis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kossu sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Davis dodges the punch combination from Kossu.
Kossu closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kossu comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Kossu breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kossu rushes Davis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kossu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kossu stuffs the takedown attempt from Davis. Davis gets slowly back to his feet. Frank Kossu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Davis. Davis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kossu defends it nicely. Frank Kossu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Kossu moves into the clinch successfully.
Kossu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kossu throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Kossu gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Kossu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Davis shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kossu defends it nicely. Davis shoots in but no luck this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kossu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Davis. Davis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kossu.
Davis keeps the fight on the outside. A telegraphed right hand from Kossu misses the target. Kossu clinches up against the cage. Still in the clinch, Kossu scores with a nice short uppercut. Davis tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kossu just stands there and leans against the cage. Kossu avoiding damage as Davis throws knees to the body.

Davis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kossu as he jumps to the side. Davis looks gassed! Davis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kossu pinned against the cage. Kossu gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kossu has taken the fight to the clinch.
Davis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kossu is pushing Davis up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Davis takes a knee right on the jaw!
Davis goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kossu prevents it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kossu content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Kossu lands an elbow inside that Davis shrugs off. Kossu lands with a right to the head. Kossu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kossu gets in close and instigates a clinch. Davis is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Kossu lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Kossu lands a nice knee to the body. Kossu lands an elbow just above Davis 's eye. Kossu stalling.
Kossu breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Kossu tries to clinch but Davis is having none of it. Kossu tries to close the distance and clinch up but Davis swats him away and circles back towards the center. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kossu lands a damaging elbow. Kossu with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Kossu dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kossu closes the distance and pushes Davis back into the cage. Kossu manages to break the clinch.

Kossu throws a sloppy head kick and Davis moves out of range easily. Kossu tries to clinch up but Davis circles away and keeps his distance. Kossu moves in looking to clinch but Davis pushes him off. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davis is defended easily by Kossu. A swing and a miss from Kossu. Davis is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kossu stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kossu wants it to stay on the feet. Kossu misses with a head kick.

Kossu throws the left hand but Davis avoids the punch easily. Kossu darts in and clinches Davis up against the cage. Kossu manages to break the clinch.

Kossu slaps away a takedown attempt from Davis, before circling back to the center of the mat. Frank Kossu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Davis. Davis scores with a takedown into Kossu's guard. Kossu tries to strike from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kossu pulls Davis in close to his closed guard and prevents Davis from doing any damage or advancing position. Kossu wants to stand up but Davis is controlling him. Davis stopping the sweep attempt from Kossu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kossu wants to stand but Davis is controlling the position. Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Kossu is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kossu has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Davis has passed into side control.
Davis is trying to ground and pound but Kossu uses the momentary lack of control by Davis to regain half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kossu keeping control of the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Kossu dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Davis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kossu's waist but Kossu gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Davis off to one side. No joy there for Kossu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kossu is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Kossu drops Davis with a beautiful combination! Davis stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Kossu is looking for the KO!
It looks like Marcus Davis has been cut. Good shot there by Kossu.
Davis is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Davis needs to keep his hands up - Kossu had a free shot at his head there. Davis is still on wobbly legs! Can Kossu finish him? No luck for Davis with that takedown attempt. Davis seems to have recovered his senses. Kossu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Davis closes the distance and clinches up with Kossu, looking for a takedown. Davis pushes Kossu against the cage but Kossu circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Frank Kossu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Davis. Davis takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kossu moves into range and clinches up with Davis. Kossu connects with a knee to the head.
Davis takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Good exchange - Kossu coming out on top. Danga de danga de dang - Kossu scores with a four punch combination! Kossu tries a head kick but it misses.
Kossu fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Davis, pushing him back against the cage. Kossu slows down the pace here.

Davis takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Davis dives in and grabs Kossu's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kossu pushes down on Davis's head and hops out. Davis on the wrong end of a nice hook.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kossu lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fight stays on the outside here - Kossu looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Kossu misses the jab. Davis blocks a head kick by Kossu.
Davis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kossu circles away. Kossu moves into the clinch. Kossu escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kossu looks to land a right hand but Davis moved out of range. Kossu throws a push kick but Davis slaps the foot to one side. Frank Kossu is winning the standup battle so far. Kossu moves into the clinch. Kossu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Davis can do to turn this around? Kossu using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kossu obliges.

Kossu tries to clinch up. Frank Kossu is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Frank Kossu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Davis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Nice body punch from Kossu. Davis on the wrong end of a nice jab. Kossu closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Kossu gets underhooks to prevent Davis's takedown attempt.
Kossu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Davis drops his hands momentarily and Kossu takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Kossu clinches up against the cage.

Kossu pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kossu forces Davis back against the cage and clinches. Davis taking a breather. Kossu is pushing Davis up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kossu creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Davis's defenses.
And that's the end of the fight! Frank Kossu showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kossu, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
