Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jesse Mortensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martti Molo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Molo has chosen Nitro Circus as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Molo throws a body punch but Mortensson moves out of range.
Molo cracks Mortensson with an open hand slap.
It looks like Jesse Mortensson has been cut.
Molo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Molo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

A looping hook to the body misses from Mortensson. Molo does a little dance to reset his feet.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mortensson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Molo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Jesse Mortensson will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Molo looks to score with a jab to the body but Mortensson is just out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mortensson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Molo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mortensson somewhat.

Molo wants to clinch up but Mortensson keeps it at a distance.
Mortensson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Molo pinned against the cage. Molo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Mortensson shoots in and bounces Molo off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Molo wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mortensson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Molo's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Molo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Mortensson is looking to wear down Molo with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Mortensson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Molo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Molo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Molo won't allow Mortensson to sweep him here.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Mortensson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Molo has his hands clasped together but Mortensson extends an breaks Molo's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Mortensson.
