Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andy Booth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Silvester Szymanski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Booth comes to the cage accompanied by Face the pain. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Booth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Silvester Szymanski! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Booth shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Szymanski defends it nicely. Booth fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Booth shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Szymanski as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Andy Booth. That's going to take a lot out of him. Booth tries to score a power double leg takedown but Szymanski sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Booth somewhat. Szymanski takes the fight into the clinch. Booth wants to break free but Szymanski has control.
Booth manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Booth working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Szymanski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Szymanski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Szymanski controlling from the top position. Szymanski tries to free his leg and advance position but Booth is retaining full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Booth is looking to stand up but Szymanski isn't so interested in that idea. Booth is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Szymanski postures up in Booth's guard and throws a big left but Booth blocks it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Szymanski with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Szymanski slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Szymanski is looking to work some ground and pound but Booth has wrist control. Szymanski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Booth has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Szymanski has managed to get both his arms back between Booth's legs - danger averted. Booth preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Szymanski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Szymanski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Szymanski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Szymanski swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Booth is now in Szymanski's guard. A big mistake from Szymanski there, giving up the dominant position! Szymanski looks gassed! Booth would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Szymanski isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Booth stacks Szymanski on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Booth! Szymanski sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Szymanski is refusing to be controlled, as Booth sits in half guard. Booth is trying to work for a kimura but Szymanski is defending well.

Szymanski is not content to let Booth control the position. Booth working the head and body with strikes. Booth thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Booth is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Booth wants to pass to mount but Szymanski is defending the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Szymanski keeps control of the position for the meantime. Booth trying to control from half guard but Szymanski is working away. Szymanski preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Booth thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Szymanski's head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Silvester Szymanski dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Booth with a poor takedown and Szymanski counters with a takedown into side control. Szymanski decides to take the fight back to the feet. Booth showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Szymanski.
Szymanski throws a nice looking combination but Booth bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Booth tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Szymanski paws at him with a jab and circles away. Booth shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Szymanski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Szymanski. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Booth keeping moving, preventing Szymanski from controlling successfully. Szymanski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Booth looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Szymanski stops Booth from standing up. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Booth isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Szymanski stacks Booth on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Szymanski! Szymanski controlling the position. Szymanski wants to control but Booth is keeping him busy. Check out the look on Szymanski's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
A lull in the action here. Booth is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Szymanski is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Booth has escaped the position, nice work there. Szymanski trying to control the position but Booth is working away. Szymanski connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Booth some visible discomfort.
Booth is trying to improve his position. Szymanski tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Szymanski is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Booth's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Booth is looking to regain half guard here but Szymanski keeps moving and retains side control. Szymanski working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Booth wants to get back to his feet. Booth is trying to get back to half guard. Booth manages to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Booth actively working from the bottom here. Szymanski controlling the action here. Szymanski passes the guard and advances to mount! Booth tries to reverse the position but Szymanski maintains control. A nice elbow there by Szymanski. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Silvester Szymanski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Szymanski scores with a jab. Booth acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Szymanski misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Booth.
Booth shoots and misses and Szymanski counters with a shoot takedown. Booth fights it but they end up in guard. Booth looking for a guillotine here but Szymanski defends easily.

That's one minute gone in the round. Booth being controlled here, momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Szymanski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. A combination from Booth does no damage. Andy Booth is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Booth closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Szymanski feints and as Booth raises his hands in defense, Szymanski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Booth throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Booth working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Szymanski. Booth has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Szymanski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Szymanski throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Silvester Szymanski has got the better of the ground game so far. Szymanski decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Andy Booth seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Szymanski lands a slapping body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Booth is working hard here to advance position. Booth looking for submissions off his back. Ground and pound from Szymanski. Szymanski is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Booth sees it coming and defends easily. Szymanski winds up and cracks Booth with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Booth is not content to let Szymanski control the position. Booth is trying to stand.

Booth throws an overhand right that lands on Szymanski's shoulder, as Szymanski tries to avoid the shot. Booth has his takedown stuffed and Szymanski counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Booth's guard now. Booth is looking for a triangle but Szymanski pushes his legs off easily.
Booth has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Szymanski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Szymanski drops back looking for a leg! Booth is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Booth manages to kick Szymanski off! Szymanski jumps back into Booth's guard. Szymanski trying to control the position from guard on top but Booth is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that's the end of the fight! Silvester Szymanski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Szymanski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
