Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Quest (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Big Steve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quest's entrance music is Gory Days. A fine choice. Steve has chosen RENEGADE MASTER as his entrance music. Big Steve has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Quest! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Big Steve! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steve shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Quest pinned against the cage. Quest gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Johnny Quest seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Quest closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Quest seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Steve does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Quest is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Steve is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Steve wants to improve his position but Quest is controlling well.
Steve is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quest pulls his head out easily. Quest prevents Steve from standing back up.
The fighters are battling for position here. Steve manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Quest looking to pass the guard. Quest drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Quest jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Steve avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Steve shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steve is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Steve is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Quest doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Steve. Steve is taking a breather. Quest says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Quest is holding on to half guard well. Steve trying to work for an americana but Quest has managed to regain full guard.
Steve wants to control from the top but Quest keeps moving. Steve must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Quest has his hands on Steve's head, controlling the position. Quest keeping moving, preventing Steve from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steve postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Quest is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Steve, into his guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Quest pushing down on Steve's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Quest seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Steve is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
