Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Walters! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walters fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Leis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Leis remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Check out the look on Leis's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Walters sneaks back into half guard. Leis is thwarting Walters's attempts to control the position. Leis performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Leis not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leis trying to pass the guard but Walters defending well. Walters is looking to control Leis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Walters avoid being mounted? It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Walters misses with a takedown attempt and Leis counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Walters! Leis punishing his opponent with strikes.

Leis is looking to stand up but Walters isn't so interested in that idea. Walters is fighting to break Leis's control of his arms but Leis is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Leis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Walters trying to control the position from guard on top but Leis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Walters might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Leis kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. He's being very persistent here but Walters manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Leis is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Walters is controlling him.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Walters misses with a takedown attempt and Leis counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Walters! Leis landing strikes from the mount and Walters is in trouble!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Leis working Walters over with strikes here.
That has opened up Jeremy Walters's cut even more. Walters regains half guard. Walters slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Leis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Leis looking to pass the guard. Leis with a nice head shot there.

Walters is breathing heavily. Leis postures up and lands a big shot to Walters's brow. Leis with a nice head shot there. Walters working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leis trying to control the position from guard on top but Walters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Walters swivels though and keeps the full guard. Leis looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Leis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice work there by Leis. Leis lands a couple of digs. Leis sitting in guard, not really doing much. Leis tries to free his leg and advance position but Walters is retaining full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Leis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Walters looking for a guillotine here but Leis defends easily.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Walters fails with the takedown and Leis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Walters won't be happy with that. Leis lands a nice forearm strike. Leis taking a breather here. Jeremy Walters has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! That's three minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Leis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Leis sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Walters is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Walters tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Leis wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Walters wants to control but Leis postures up. Leis working the strikes but Walters uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Leis is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Walters can do to turn this around? Walters looking for submissions off his back. Leis trying to control the pace.
And that's the end of the fight! Jesse Leis showed his dominance in that final round. Well Leis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
