PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willie Wonka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Brighton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brighton has chosen Rage Against The Machine - Bulls On Parade as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brighton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Wonka was well out of range. Poor timing from Brighton.

Brighton throws a right and a left that Wonka avoids nicely.
Brighton throws a hook to the side of Wonka's head but Wonka sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Wonka shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brighton's guard.

Wonka has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Wonka counters with a shoot takedown. Brighton fights it but they end up in guard.

Wonka has gone for a leg lock! Brighton slips out almost immediately though and dives into Wonka's guard.

Well Wonka has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
