The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Micks just misses with a punch to the body.
Williamson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Micks slips under a jab.
Williamson lands with a right hand.
Williamson swinging wildly here.
Williamson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A big left from Williamson misses.
Micks is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Williamson.

Williamson shoots in and bounces Micks off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Micks is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Williamson tries to stand but Micks is controlling from the bottom.
Williamson won't allow Micks to sweep him here.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williamson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Micks wants to stand and escape but Williamson is having none of it.

Micks manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Micks just misses with a punch to the body.
Williamson fails with a takedown attempt.
Williamson throws the left hand but Micks avoids the punch easily.
Williamson scores with a jab to the jaw.
A telegraphed right hand from Williamson misses the target.

Dan Williamson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Williamson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Williamson showed some decent athleticism there.

Micks pushes Williamson off and gets back to his feet.

Williamson misses with a hook. Micks ducked under it nicely.
Williamson lands a head shot.
Williamson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Fred Micks has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dan Williamson.

Williamson throws a hook but Micks blocks it.

Williamson throws a looping overhand right but Micks ducks down to avoid it.

Micks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Williamson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Williamson might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Micks throws a series of punches but Williamson moves out of range.
A combination from Micks does no damage.
Williamson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Williamson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Williamson walks into a jab.
Micks lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Micks slips under a jab.
Micks misses with a body kick.

Williamson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Williamson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Micks does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Williamson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Micks has time to react.
Micks shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Micks dips to his left and cracks Williamson with an uppercut!
Williamson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Micks.
Micks smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Williamson looks up at the clock. Bad move! Micks lands a right hand from hell, dropping Williamson. Micks pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fred Micks!
