PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maxi Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maksimilijan Luburic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Uzi comes to the cage accompanied by Slipknot's Psychosocial . Luburic has chosen Bojna Čavoglave as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luburic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Luburic looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Luburic gets caught flat footed, as Uzi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Luburic trying to keep a closed guard but Uzi is proving a slippery customer.
Uzi passes Luburic's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Uzi wants to free his trapped foot but Luburic is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Uzi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Luburic is just riding it out for now. Uzi eventually gives up the hold.

Uzi is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Luburic has managed to free his arm - good work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Luburic wants to improve his position but Uzi is controlling well.
Uzi is keen to just control but Luburic is a slippery customer.

Uzi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Luburic tries to get to full guard but Uzi has control of the leg.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Luburic is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Luburic is refusing to be controlled, as Uzi sits in half guard.
Luburic is trying to stand up here but Uzi is controlling him well.
Uzi could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Uzi keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Uzi is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Luburic is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
