Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Richard Guinness (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Kraus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kraus is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by The Tielman Brothers. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Guinness!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Albert Kraus!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guinness pushes Kraus up against the ropes in a clinch.
Guinness gets underhooks to prevent Kraus's takedown attempt.
Guinness fails to pull guard.

Kraus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Kraus scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Guinness tries to bench press Kraus off him but Kraus keeps the position.
Kraus cracks Guinness with a big elbow.

Kraus thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Kraus decides to stand up, so the ref orders Guinness to his feet.

Kraus has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Guinness is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Guinness jumps guard but Kraus stands there with Guinness around his waist. Guinness gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Guinness gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kraus.

Kraus decides to stand up, so the ref orders Guinness to his feet.
Guinness tries a head kick but it misses.

Guinness forces Kraus back against the ropes and clinches.
Guinness tries to pull guard but Kraus won't allow it.

Guinness fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kraus throws a nice looking combination but Guinness bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kraus displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Guinness.
Guinness is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Kraus gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Guinness wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kraus has him pressed against the ropes.

Kraus drops down looking for an ankle pick but Guinness pulls his leg out and moves away.

Guinness is pushing Kraus up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Guinness has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Kraus keeps control of Guinness as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Guinness prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kraus has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Guinness is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kraus putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Guinness in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.

Guinness pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kraus takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Kraus counters with a slapping leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Albert Kraus dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Kraus moves into range and clinches up with Guinness.
Kraus tries to score a body lock takedown but Guinness shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Kraus goes for a takedown attempt but Guinness pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Kraus misses with a few strikes there.
Guinness displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Kraus tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Guinness swivels and escapes.

The fighters circle momentarily. Guinness darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kraus avoids the head kick by Guinness.
Guinness swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kraus is looking to clinch but Guinness is avoiding it.
Guinness tries to close the distance and clinch but Kraus swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Guinness is pressed up against the ropes. Kraus has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Guinness down to the mat. Guinness avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Richard Guinness seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kraus shoots for a double leg takedown but Guinness sprawls well. He's pushed Kraus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Kraus shoots in for a takedown but Guinness shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Guinness throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kraus's waist but Kraus gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Guinness off to one side.

Albert Kraus showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Guinness's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Kraus closes the distance and clinches up with Guinness, looking for a takedown. Kraus pushes Guinness against the ropes but Guinness circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Kraus shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Guinness manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Guinness knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kraus on the ground.

Guinness can't do much from the bottom here.
Guinness on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Guinness tries to get out of the position.
Kraus remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kraus lands a nice shot to the head.

Kraus is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Guinness to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Guinness shrugs it off.
Poor strikes thrown by Kraus there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Kraus sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Albert Kraus is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Kraus wants to control the pace but Guinness is squirming around nicely.
Richard Guinness has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Albert Kraus comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Kraus winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
