Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Merker Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lance Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lance Stevens is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Merker Junior! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lance Stevens! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens looks to land a combination but Merker Junior avoids it well. Stevens looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Merker Junior.
Stevens avoids the head kick by Merker Junior.
Stevens tries to bum rush Merker Junior with a series of wild strikes but Merker Junior uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Stevens looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Merker Junior rushes Stevens and presses him up against the cage. Merker Junior breaks from the clinch.
Merker Junior feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Merker Junior wants to control from the top but Stevens keeps moving. Merker Junior tries to free his leg and advance position but Stevens is retaining full guard. Merker Junior throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stevens works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Merker Junior throws a big right hand that misses. Merker Junior knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stevens on the ground. Stevens looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's one minute gone in the round. Merker Junior wants to control from the top but Stevens keeps moving. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stevens is on top in guard.
Stevens trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Merker Junior is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Merker Junior trying to keep a closed guard but Stevens is proving a slippery customer.
Stevens is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Merker Junior keeping full guard, as Stevens tries to pass.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Merker Junior is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Merker Junior is breathing heavily. Stevens drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Stevens as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Merker Junior screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Stevens! Nice submission victory there!
