Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Josh Feer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Leone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leone has chosen Mama Said Knock You Out as his entrance music. Frank Leone has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Josh Feer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Leone! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Feer looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Feer looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Leone shoots in for a double leg but Feer sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Excellent takedown into side control there by Leone. Leone is trying to get an arm triangle but Feer is defending well. Leone thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Leone cracks Feer with a big right hand but Feer just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Leone wants to control but Feer is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Leone working away. Feer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Leone on the ground. Leone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Leone decides to stand up, so the ref orders Feer to his feet.

Feer is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Leone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Feer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Leone. Leone is keen to just control but Feer is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Feer is looking for a sweep. Leone is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Leone tries to pass the half guard into mount. Feer knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Leone is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Feer doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Leone. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Leone is thwarting Feer's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leone is looking to take a break and control but Feer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Feer is trying to maintain the position but Leone is very close to passing his half guard. Leone working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Feer is defending against the submission attempts here by Leone.
Leone tries to pass to full mount but Feer defends it. Feer keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Feer tries to roll over but Leone keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Leone stands up and beckons Feer to join him on the feet. Feer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Leone's waist but Leone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Feer off to one side. Leone misses with a takedown attempt and Feer counters with a takedown into side control. Leone can't do much from the bottom here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Leone manages to get back to half guard. Leone has his hands clasped together around Feer's back. He's all about the action. Leone manages to get to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Feer trying to control but Leone postures up.

Leone is looking for a kimura but Feer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Leone to get the leverage. Feer wants to control but Leone is keeping busy and won't allow it. Leone scoring with strikes to the body and head. Leone is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Feer has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Leone is working away from the top position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Feer is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Leone tries to pass to full mount but Feer defends it. Leone is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Leone with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Leone looking to finish Feer with some ground and pound. This is bad for Feer! Feer manages to control the position for a moment. Feer in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Leone unloading with bombs! Feer tries to hold on but Leone pushes him away. Feer taking shots to the head. Leone looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Leone is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Feer has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Feer! Feer trying to control the position from guard on top but Leone is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Feer showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Leone looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Frank Leone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Leone shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Feer defends it nicely. Leone shoots in but Feer avoids the takedown attempt easily. Leone fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Feer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Leone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Feer somewhat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Leone changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Feer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Feer tries to get out of the position. Leone thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Leone tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Leone trying to control the position but Feer is working away. Leone has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Leone gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Feer counters with a shoot takedown. Leone fights it but they end up in guard. Frank Leone has got the better of the ground game so far. Leone is trying to keep Feer in close.

Leone can't keep hold of the triangle and Feer manages to pass to side control! Feer wants to control but Leone is keeping him busy. Leone stops Feer from passing to mount. Leone manages to work his way to half guard, despite Feer's best efforts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Feer is looking to take a break and control but Leone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Josh Feer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Leone makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Leone. Leone has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Feer off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Leone misses with a takedown and Feer counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Leone's guard now. Leone wriggles free and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leone gets the takedown into side control. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Leone is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Feer has escaped the position, nice work there. Leone looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Feer is avoiding damage well.
