Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nate Lamb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abraham Lincoln (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamb throws a nice inside leg kick.
A head kick from Lamb lands but Lincoln takes it in his stride.
Lincoln throws a looping overhand right but Lamb ducks down to avoid it.
The crowd cheers as Lincoln lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lamb doesn't seem phased though.
Lamb drives through and clinches with Lincoln against the cage.

Lamb is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lincoln is aware though and is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lincoln drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lincoln jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Lamb shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lincoln but Lincoln pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Lincoln rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lamb moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lamb feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
