Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ryosuke Takahashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rufus Hitzlspergher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rufus Hitzlspergher was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryosuke Takahashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rufus Hitzlspergher! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hitzlspergher throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Takahashi closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hitzlspergher to the mat! Hitzlspergher manages to get full guard. Takahashi works a leg free and moves into half guard. Takahashi is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Hitzlspergher looking for submissions off his back. Hitzlspergher wants to control but Takahashi is keeping busy.
Hitzlspergher is pressing down on Takahashi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Takahashi trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hitzlspergher is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hitzlspergher tries to land a sweep but no joy. Takahashi trying to move into half guard but instead Hitzlspergher has managed to sweep! Takahashi working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hitzlspergher doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hitzlspergher manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Takahashi is breathing heavily. Takahashi has an active guard here but Hitzlspergher has managed to pass into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hitzlspergher not doing much here.
Hitzlspergher is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Takahashi sees it coming and defends easily. Hitzlspergher with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takahashi tries to roll over but Hitzlspergher keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hitzlspergher sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Takahashi is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hitzlspergher pulls his head out easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Takahashi wants to get back to full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Rufus Hitzlspergher will probably get the nod. That's time! Takahashi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hitzlspergher lands with a hook. Takahashi tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Hitzlspergher misses with a leg kick. Hitzlspergher punishes Takahashi's body with a nice straight punch. Rufus Hitzlspergher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hitzlspergher has closed the distance and engaged Takahashi in a clinch.
Hitzlspergher breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hitzlspergher lands a body shot.
Hitzlspergher lands with a cross. This has been an exciting period of action! Takahashi walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Takahashi takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Hitzlspergher misses with a series of wild punches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hitzlspergher has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hitzlspergher breaks the clinch.
Good exchange - Hitzlspergher coming out on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hitzlspergher walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Takahashi drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Hitzlspergher swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Takahashi's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
