Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Cyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jay Yap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yap has chosen Tubthumping as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Yap!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cyde fakes the leg kick and cracks Yap in the body.
Cyde slaps away a takedown attempt from Yap, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Yap shoots for a takedown but Cyde saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Yap avoids the head kick by Cyde.
Yap lands a two punch combo.
A lazy body kick from Yap
and Cyde counters with a body kick that stops Yap in his tracks momentarily.
Yap shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Cyde but Cyde pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Yap closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cyde circles away.
Cyde misses with an uppercut. Yap saw that one coming.
Yap swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cyde counters with a good low kick that Yap was not able to check.

Yap feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Yap lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Yap wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cyde keeps working.
Yap looks up at the clock and then as Cyde takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Yap smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Jay Yap seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cyde stuffs the takedown.
Yap closes this distance looking for a takedown but Cyde circles away.

Yap throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cyde.

Yap throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Cyde's waist but Cyde gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yap off to one side.

Yap ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Cyde takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Cyde stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Cyde wants it to stay on the feet.
No luck for Yap with that takedown attempt.
Yap looks for a takedown but Cyde sprawls well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jay Yap showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Cyde leaves Yap with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cyde throws a sloppy head kick and Yap moves out of range easily.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Yap is defended easily by Cyde.
