Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brick Fist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fredrik Messiah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Messiah fails with a takedown attempt.
Fist scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Fist throws a series of punches but Messiah avoids them all with ease.
Brick Fist seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Messiah lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Brick Fist has been cut.
Fist connects with a nice looking jab.
Fist goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A punch lands to the side of Messiah 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Messiah shoots in but no luck this time.
Fist throws a nice looking combination but Messiah bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Fist swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Messiah counters with a single leg into guard. Fist didn't expect that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Fist is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Messiah trying to control but Fist is working from the bottom.
Messiah is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Messiah working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Messiah throwing strikes but missing.
Messiah must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Messiah shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Fist throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Messiah holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Messiah stalling against the cage.
Messiah prevents Fist from breaking the clinch.

Messiah pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Messiah takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Fist throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fist lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Messiah backs up against the cage.
Fist throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fist lunges at Messiah with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Messiah's hand.

Messiah shoots in and drives through. Fist sprawls well.
Brick Fist has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fredrik Messiah.

Messiah shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Fist sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Fist has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Messiah is working away from the top position though.
Messiah wants to control but Fist is keeping him busy.

Messiah trying to control the action but Fist is working from the bottom.
Fist is trying to maintain the position but Messiah is very close to passing his half guard.

Messiah seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fist does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Messiah shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fist sprawls well. Fist wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Messiah gets slowly back to his feet.

Fist throws a one two combo.
Fist lands a two punch combo.
Messiah throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Fist to counter with a crisp jab.
Fist stalks Messiah and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Messiah's face. Messiah staggers backwards, shaken.
Fist looks to land a combination but Messiah avoids it well.
Fist throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Messiah counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fist won't be happy with that.
Fist sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Fist gets full guard.
Messiah really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fist. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Messiah wants to control from the top but Fist keeps moving.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Messiah has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Fist to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Messiah is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Fist pulls down on the head and he's put Messiah to sleep! This one is all over!
