Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jin Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and frank mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jin Kazama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, frank mir! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazama lands a right hook to the body.
mir misses with a wild combination.
Horrible takedown by Kazama or perhaps it was just good defense by mir which made him look bad. mir tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kazama swats him away and circles back towards the center. Good leg kick by Kazama there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kazama avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
mir fails with a takedown attempt. A telegraphed right hand from mir misses the target. Kazama scores a takedown into full mount! Kazama cracks mir with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Kazama content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. mir keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kazama is trying to stick to mir's back but mir is turning into Kazama. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kazama's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by mir. Kazama really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. mir stopping the sweep attempt from Kazama. mir pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kazama is keeping the position for now. mir drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kazama looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kazama looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kazama! mir looks gassed! mir tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kazama wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Kazama cracks mir with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kazama staying calm. mir tries to buck Kazama off but Kazama is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Kazama remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. mir manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. mir is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Kazama has one foot on mir's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Kazama fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kazama throws a combination. mir tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Kazama shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in mir's guard. Kazama sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed mir's guard. Kazama will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. mir on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazama takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. mir is looking to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. mir is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kazama is controlling mir's trapped leg to prevent mir from advancing to side control. mir works his foot free and advances to mount. mir has control of Kazama's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kazama regains control of the situation pretty easily.

mir shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kazama as he jumps to the side. mir connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Kazama's hands. Kazama moves out of range as mir strikes. mir throws a leg kick so Kazama counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kazama is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. mir has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kazama can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. mir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kazama doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kazama manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kazama trying to control the position from guard on top but mir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kazama is stalling in the full guard.

Kazama trying to control the pace. Kazama's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. mir tries to roll over but Kazama keeps him under control. Kazama performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kazama slips a nice elbow through mir's hands, connecting with mir's forehead. Kazama controlling the action here. Kazama lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Kazama stands up and we're back to a striking position. mir tries to clinch but Kazama moves away and Kazama counters with a one-two to the body. Kazama moves away from the strike by mir. mir leaves Kazama with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. mir tries to clinch and Kazama counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for mir! mir is in all sorts of trouble here.

mir tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kazama counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps mir thinking. mir shoots in for a takedown but Kazama shows good takedown defense. Jin Kazama is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. mir fails with a takedown attempt. mir stuffs the takedown. Kazama shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kazama showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are battling for position here. mir manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Kazama tries to stand but mir is controlling from the bottom. mir working for a triangle but Kazama defends it easily.

Jin Kazama overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. mir thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. frank mir has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Jin Kazama is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kazama manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
And that's the end of the fight! frank mir comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Kazama has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
