Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hanzo Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DaMarcus Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chiba comes to the cage accompanied by Bodies. Saint is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: General Public - Tenderness. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hanzo Chiba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, DaMarcus Saint!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Saint.
Saint throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Chiba blocks a jab.
Chiba closes the distance and clinches up with Saint, looking for a takedown. Chiba pushes Saint against the cage but Saint circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Saint tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Chiba is able to avoid easily.
Chiba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Saint pinned against the cage. Saint gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Saint scoring well with a low kick there.

Saint throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
DaMarcus Saint seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saint lands with a thumping leg kick.
A slapping leg kick lands for Saint.
No joy there for Saint, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Saint throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Chiba keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Saint looks for the body kick but Chiba saw that one coming.

A nice leg kick lands there from Saint.
Chiba moves out of range of the body kick.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chiba is defended easily by Saint.

Saint buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Chiba takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Chiba is breathing heavily.
Saint tries a head kick but it misses.
Saint throws a leg kick which misses Chiba's front leg but catches the back leg as Chiba tries to avoid it.

Saint moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Saint lands a big head kick that sends Chiba tumbling to the mat! Saint takes a step backwards and waves Chiba back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Hanzo Chiba has been cut.
Saint thumps Chiba with a low kick.
Saint motions for Chiba to come forward. Saint throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Saint connects with a high kick.
Chiba checks a low kick from Saint.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Hanzo Chiba's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A thudding body kick lands there by Saint!
A solid leg kick lands there for Saint.
Saint misses with a wild body shot.
A chopping leg kick lands by Saint.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Saint throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Saint buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Chiba tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Saint scores with a kick to the body.
Saint throws a right hand that Chiba ducks under and follows up with a left that Chiba also avoids with ease.
Saint lands a nice leg kick that just misses Chiba's sensitive parts.
Chiba on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A head kick misses from Saint.
Saint throws a head kick but Chiba moves out of range.
Chiba feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chiba tries to free his leg and advance position but Saint is retaining full guard.
Saint is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Saint looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Saint tries to stand and escape but Chiba is controlling the position.
Chiba is trying to maintain the position but Saint is very close to passing his half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Saint's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Chiba is trying to maintain the position but Saint is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
DaMarcus Saint showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Saint throws a sloppy head kick and Chiba moves out of range easily.
Saint motions for Chiba to come forward. Saint throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Saint throws a leg kick but Chiba sees it coming and moves out of range.
Chiba fails with the takedown.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saint pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Chiba shoots in and bounces Saint off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Chiba drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chiba jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Saint really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chiba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chiba drops back looking for a leg! Saint is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Saint manages to kick Chiba off! Chiba jumps back into Saint's guard.

Chiba is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Saint is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Saint has escaped and now he's on top!

Saint is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Saint trying to control but Chiba is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Saint pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chiba is keeping the position for now.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Saint is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Saint trying to control but Chiba is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hanzo Chiba.
Well Saint has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
