Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Steve Boa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Yamamoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Boa's entrance music is Zappa-Why does it hurt when I pee?. A fine choice. Steve Boa has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Steve Boa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Takeshi Yamamoto! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Eliza Hachem and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamamoto lands a right hook to the body.
Boa gets the takedown into side control. Yamamoto is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Boa looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Boa is trying to get an arm triangle but Yamamoto is defending well. Yamamoto pushes Boa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Boa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Boa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Yamamoto knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Yamamoto tries to escape but Boa is in control. Yamamoto really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Boa trying to control the action but Yamamoto is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Yamamoto is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Boa asserts his dominance and retains side control. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Boa throws a strike aimed at the side of Yamamoto's head but Yamamoto avoids it well. Yamamoto wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Boa tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yamamoto can do anything to dispel that myth. Boa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Yamamoto has escaped the position, nice work there. Yamamoto is trying to buck Boa off. Yamamoto is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Boa is looking to take a break and control but Yamamoto is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Boa prevents Yamamoto from escaping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Boa looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Boa wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yamamoto keeps working. Boa is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Yamamoto is trying to escape and Boa transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Yamamoto is forced to tap! Nice work there by Boa! Very nice indeed!
