Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Makanre Sakatoushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Tambling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Makanre Sakatoushi has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Makanre Sakatoushi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Tambling! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tambling has a takedown stuffed. No luck for Tambling with that takedown attempt. Sakatoushi misses with a low kick.
Tambling shoots in and drives through. Sakatoushi sprawls well. Makanre Sakatoushi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Tambling. Sakatoushi works Tambling's body with a nice hook. Sakatoushi looks to throw the jab but Tambling is out of range. Sakatoushi tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tambling drops his hands momentarily and Sakatoushi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Tambling closes the distance and clinches up with Sakatoushi, looking for a takedown. Tambling pushes Sakatoushi against the cage but Sakatoushi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tambling shoots in but Sakatoushi avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tambling keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A head kick from Sakatoushi lands but Tambling takes it in his stride. Sakatoushi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sakatoushi throws a hook but Tambling blocks it. Tambling looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tambling shoots in for a double leg but Sakatoushi sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Sakatoushi turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Tambling checks a low kick from Sakatoushi.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sakatoushi misses with a hook. Tambling avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sakatoushi throws a combination. Tambling tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Tambling takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Sakatoushi walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Tambling checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Tambling blocks a low kick nicely. Sakatoushi throws a head kick but Tambling moves out of range.
Tambling fails with a takedown attempt. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Tambling checks a leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Some wild striking there from Sakatoushi.
Tambling checks a leg kick. Sakatoushi tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tambling was well out of range. Poor timing from Sakatoushi. Sakatoushi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tambling. Tambling takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sakatoushi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sakatoushi jabbing away but nothing is landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sakatoushi tries to land a front kick but Tambling steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Sakatoushi misses with a body kick. Tambling bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tambling goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sakatoushi rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Tambling's guard! Nice work there by Sakatoushi! Tambling wants to sweep here but Sakatoushi controlling him for the moment. Sakatoushi wants to control from the top but Tambling keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tambling controlling the position. Sakatoushi trying to control but Tambling is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Makanre Sakatoushi dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Tambling shoots in for a takedown but Sakatoushi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Tambling tries for a takedown but Sakatoushi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Tambling checks a leg kick. No joy there for Sakatoushi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sakatoushi trying to control the position from guard on top but Tambling is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tambling can do anything to dispel that myth. Sakatoushi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Sakatoushi wants to control from the top but Tambling keeps moving. Tambling is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Tambling fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sakatoushi swings and misses with a hook to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sakatoushi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Makanre Sakatoushi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sakatoushi thows a left - swing and a miss! Sakatoushi lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Tambling backs up against the cage.
Danga de danga de dang - Sakatoushi scores with a four punch combination! Sakatoushi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Tambling fails with the takedown. Sakatoushi attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Sakatoushi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sakatoushi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tambling circles away quickly and effectively. Sakatoushi swings for the body but Tambling moves out of range.
Sakatoushi leaves Tambling with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Sakatoushi is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Tambling takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Makanre Sakatoushi dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Let's see what he's got on the ground. Tambling seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Sakatoushi has recovered full guard. Tambling tries to free his leg and advance position but Sakatoushi is retaining full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tambling accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Tambling postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Sakatoushi is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Tambling, into his guard. Tambling takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Sakatoushi looking to sit in guard and control but Tambling gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Tambling drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sakatoushi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Tambling has Sakatoushi in his guard. Tambling is trying to keep Sakatoushi in close.
Sakatoushi lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Sakatoushi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Makanre Sakatoushi is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sakatoushi throws a nice looking combination but Tambling bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Sakatoushi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tambling. Makanre Sakatoushi is winning the standup battle so far. Tambling shoots for a double leg takedown but Sakatoushi sprawls well. He's pushed Tambling's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sakatoushi throws a leg kick but Tambling checks it. Tambling tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sakatoushi swivels and escapes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Tambling changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sakatoushi tries to avoid it but Tambling manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sakatoushi to the ground. Sakatoushi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sakatoushi throws a nice head kick!
Ben Tambling has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sakatoushi misses with a kick to the body.

Sakatoushi keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A shot to de liver by Sakatoushi. Beautiful body shot. A decent looking cross lands there for Sakatoushi.
And that's the end of the fight! Makanre Sakatoushi showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sakatoushi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
