Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lloyd Salvador!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salvador shoots for a takedown but Jenkins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jenkins looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salvador won't allow Jenkins to pass to mount.
Jenkins is working for a kimura but Salvador is defending it quite comfortably.
Jenkins thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Jenkins throwing shots but Salvador is blocking nicely.
Jenkins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Salvador defends it well.
Salvador looking for submissions off his back.

Jenkins is controlling the pace.
Jenkins trying to control the action but Salvador is working from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jenkins wants to pass the guard but Salvador is defending well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Salvador misses with a takedown attempt
and Jenkins counters with a nice double leg into side control. Salvador won't be happy with that.
Jenkins working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Jenkins tries to move into full mount but can't pass Salvador's legs.
Salvador is looking for a sweep.

Jenkins stands up.
Jenkins closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jenkins tries to advance to mount but Salvador denies him.
Jenkins is working hard here to advance position.
Salvador is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jenkins throws a strike aimed at the side of Salvador's head but Salvador avoids it well.
Jenkins goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Salvador has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Jenkins but great work by Salvador.
Salvador tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Jenkins is breathing heavily.
Jenkins tries to buck Salvador off but Salvador is having none of it.
Salvador thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mark Jenkins dominated that round.

Salvador shoots and misses
and Jenkins counters with a single leg into guard. Salvador didn't expect that.
Jenkins slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Salvador avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jenkins.
Salvador takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Jenkins wants to lay and pray for a moment but Salvador keeps working.
Salvador is breathing heavily.
Jenkins in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Salvador is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
