Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Caio Almeida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gustavo Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Almeida comes to the cage accompanied by Blink 182 - Dammit. Carvalho is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sexy Chick. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gustavo Carvalho!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Alexandre Firmino and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Almeida gets a clinch.
Almeida lands a good knee to the midsection. Carvalho won't want to take too many of those.
Almeida looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Almeida lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Gustavo Carvalho has been cut.
Carvalho jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Almeida walks away with a smile on his face. Carvalho gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Carvalho scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Carvalho throwing shots but Almeida is blocking nicely.
Almeida makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Almeida tries to clinch up but Carvalho circles away and keeps his distance.
Carvalho tries to score a power double leg takedown but Almeida sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carvalho somewhat.
Almeida tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carvalho paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Almeida closes the distance and clinches.
Almeida is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Carvalho is defending well for now.
Almeida jumps guard and drags Carvalho to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Almeida pushes Carvalho off and gets back to his feet.
Almeida wants to clinch up but Carvalho keeps it at a distance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Almeida is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Carvalho can't keep his opponent in guard - Almeida advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Carvalho is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Almeida is thwarting Carvalho's attempts to control the position.
Almeida is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carvalho tries to improve his position but Almeida has taken his back! Almeida has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Carvalho tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Almeida pushes Carvalho away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
