Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Connor Hamelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor Hamelin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Robbie Rock! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hamelin shoots for a double leg takedown but Rock sprawls well. He's pushed Hamelin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. A left and a right from Rock both land. Nice combination. Hamelin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hamelin there as he acknowledges the shot. Rock scores with a jab to the body. Hamelin is breathing heavily. Rock tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Rock misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No joy there for Rock, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rock shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hamelin napping and manages to drive through into side control! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Hamelin takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Rock throws an elbow but Hamelin slips to the side and avoids it well. Rock scoring with punches and elbows. Rock is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hamelin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Rock stands up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rock lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Rock fails to land with a series of punches.
Rock dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Rock shoots and misses and Hamelin counters with a takedown into side control. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hamelin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rock can do anything to dispel that myth. Rock wants to control but Hamelin postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rock is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hamelin throws an elbow but Rock slips to the side and avoids it well. Hamelin working away. Rock tries to buck Hamelin off but Hamelin is having none of it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Rock is looking to clinch but Hamelin is avoiding it.
Hamelin walks into a stiff left hand from Rock. Rock tries to close the distance and clinch but Hamelin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rock throws a combination. Hamelin tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Rock fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rock throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rock wants to clinch up but Hamelin keeps it at a distance. No luck with that takedown attempt from Rock. Rock will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hamelin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Hamelin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Hamelin looking to control but Rock is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Rock is trying to escape the mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rock gets back to half guard. Hamelin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rock with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Hamelin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Rock is pressing down on Hamelin's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Rock controls Hamelin momentarily but Hamelin frees himself. Hamelin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Hamelin wants to pass the guard but Rock is keeping the position. Rock is looking to stand up but Hamelin isn't so interested in that idea. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hamelin loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Robbie Rock dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Hamelin misses with a takedown attempt enabling Rock to counter with a crisp jab. Hamelin with a poor takedown and Rock counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Rock displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Rock doesn't manage to clinch there - Hamelin circles away.
Rock lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Rock fails with an attempt to clinch.
Rock shoots in but no luck this time. Rock instigates a clinch. Rock drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rock prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Connor Hamelin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rock gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Hamelin regains guard.
Rock trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hamelin's guard. Hamelin is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Rock has his hands clasped together but Hamelin extends an breaks Rock's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Hamelin.
