Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rufus Hitzlspergher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rady Remigio! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Shigeki Sano and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Remigio throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hitzlspergher was covering up waiting for the punch and Remigio finishes the takedown easily into guard. Remigio drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hitzlspergher manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Remigio has Hitzlspergher in his guard. Hitzlspergher passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hitzlspergher trying to control the position but Remigio is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Remigio is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Remigio looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hitzlspergher controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hitzlspergher is working for a submission of some sort.
Hitzlspergher content to control rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Remigio is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hitzlspergher not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Remigio is looking to control Hitzlspergher's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Remigio avoid being mounted? Remigio wants to get back to full guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hitzlspergher throws a jab when Remigio was well out of range. Nice takedown defense from Hitzlspergher. No joy for Remigio on that attempt. Hitzlspergher drives through and clinches with Remigio against the cage.
A right handed body shot lands from Hitzlspergher.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hitzlspergher connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Remigio momentarily.
It looks like Rady Remigio has been cut. Hitzlspergher tests Remigio's chin there with a solid looking shot. Hitzlspergher drops Remigio with a big left hand! Remigio is injured, injured bad! Hitzlspergher jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
