The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Chan is really struggling to control Welles but he's trying to hold on to the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Chan is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Chan lands a nice short elbow.

Welles is looking to control Chan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Welles avoid being mounted?

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jackie Chan.
I think Welles has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
