Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between James Concrete (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Fernandez's choice of entrance music: Guns N' Roses - Welcome To The Jungle. James Concrete has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, James Concrete!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Fernandez!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernandez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Fernandez keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fight stays on the outside here - Fernandez looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Concrete closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Concrete decides to stand back up. Concrete steps back and let's Fernandez get back to his feet.
Concrete throws a leg kick but Fernandez moved away.
Good exchange - Fernandez coming out on top.
Fernandez has his takedown stuffed

and Concrete counters with a nice double leg into side control. Fernandez won't be happy with that.

Concrete tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Concrete has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Concrete misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fernandez tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Concrete wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Concrete thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Concrete throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Fernandez works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Concrete wants to pass to mount but Fernandez is defending the position.
Fernandez has hold of Concrete's hands but Concrete slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Fernandez looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Concrete is working for a kimura but Fernandez is defending it quite comfortably.
Concrete is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Concrete looking to control but Fernandez is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Nice takedown defense from Fernandez. No joy for Concrete on that attempt.

Fernandez misses with a hook.
Fernandez's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Fernandez duly obliges.


Concrete is rocked!
Concrete defending well as Fernandez loads up on a big left hand.
Oh Concrete is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Concrete takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Fernandez drops Concrete with a straight right hand, right on the button! Fernandez follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Andy Fernandez!
