Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrei Romanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vladimir Molotav (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrei Romanov had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.9lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrei Romanov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Molotav! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Romanov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Molotav is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Romanov trying to control the position but Molotav is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Molotav pushes Romanov away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Romanov gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Molotav is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Molotav is not content to let Romanov control the position. Molotav really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Romanov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Romanov tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Romanov has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Molotav misses with the combination.
That's one minute gone in the round. A thudding body kick lands there by Molotav!
Vladimir Molotav is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Molotav tests Romanov's chin there with a solid looking shot. Molotav fails to land with a series of punches.
Molotav throws a right and a left that Romanov avoids nicely. Molotav goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Romanov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Molotav pinned against the cage. Molotav gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Romanov is breathing heavily. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Romanov. Molotav throws a right hand that Romanov ducks under and follows up with a left that Romanov also avoids with ease. Molotav stalks Romanov and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Romanov's face. Romanov staggers backwards, shaken. Molotav closes the distance and lands a one-two. Molotav misses with the combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A left and a right from Molotav both land. Nice combination. Molotav lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A right-left combo lands from Molotav. Jab by Molotav. Molotav closes the distance and lands a one-two. Molotav lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Molotav's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Molotav duly obliges. Molotav lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. A right-left combo lands from Molotav. A left and a right from Molotav both land. Nice combination. Romanov takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Molotav lands with a nice body punch. Romanov moves forwards but Molotav connects with a nice, crisp jab. Molotav lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Molotav. Molotav plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Left hook, right uppercut from Molotav. Molotav fails to land with a series of punches.

Romanov is rocked! Molotav dances in with a quick combination. Romanov is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Molotav snaps Romanov's head back. Romanov stumbles backwards against the cage. Molotav steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Romanov's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Romanov just didn't come prepared.
