Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Mirror! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Vitali Emeliananko! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Emeliananko looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Emeliananko trying to control but Mirror is working from the bottom. Emeliananko tries to free his leg and advance position but Mirror is retaining full guard. Emeliananko thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mirror avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Emeliananko drops back, looking for a kneebar! Mirror looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Mirror looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Mirror! Mirror is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Emeliananko knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emeliananko wants to control but Mirror postures up. Emeliananko tries to get back to half guard but can't. Emeliananko is not content to let Mirror control the position. Emeliananko is positioning himself to get back to half guard. You can see the frustration on Emeliananko's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Mirror trying to control the action but Emeliananko is working from the bottom.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Emeliananko scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Emeliananko thows a body shot but no joy. Emeliananko throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mirror was covering up waiting for the punch and Emeliananko finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mirror working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Emeliananko.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Emeliananko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mirror manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Emeliananko has Mirror in his guard. Mirror got a little sloppy there for a moment and Emeliananko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mirror has managed to get both his arms back between Emeliananko's legs - danger averted. Emeliananko looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Emeliananko manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mirror manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Emeliananko drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mirror manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Emeliananko has Mirror in his guard. Emeliananko looks gassed! Emeliananko is looking for a triangle but Mirror pushes his legs off easily.
Mirror looking to pass the guard. Mirror works a leg free and moves into half guard. Emeliananko moves into full guard.
Emeliananko had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mirror defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Vitali Emeliananko dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Mirror has his takedown stuffed and Emeliananko counters with a nice double leg into side control. Mirror won't be happy with that. Emeliananko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Emeliananko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Emeliananko is working to tighten is grip on Mirror's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mirror has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Emeliananko is really squeezing tight and eventually Mirror passes out! Emeliananko breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
