Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Monty Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stefen Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wilson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. England National Anthem kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Stefen Wilson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Monty Reynolds! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Stefen Wilson! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reynolds tries to clinch up. Reynolds stuffs the takedown attempt from Wilson. Wilson gets slowly back to his feet. Reynolds fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Reynolds tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Wilson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Wilson moves into the clinch successfully.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Wilson. Reynolds breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Reynolds tries to clinch but fails miserably and Wilson counters with a nice kick to the body. Reynolds tries for a takedown but Wilson circles away easily and Wilson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Wilson. Wilson pushes down on Reynolds's leg and manages to get into half guard. Reynolds trying to hold on to Wilson's head to control him but Wilson postures up.
Wilson is keen to just control but Reynolds is a slippery customer. Wilson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Reynolds wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reynolds holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Wilson wants to pass the guard but Reynolds is defending well. Wilson is working for a kimura but Reynolds is defending it quite comfortably.
Reynolds tries to kick Wilson off but Wilson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Reynolds tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Wilson clinches up with Reynolds and pushes him back against the cage. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Reynolds takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Wilson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Reynolds fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Reynolds tries to clinch and Wilson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Reynolds takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Monty Reynolds. The fight stays on the outside here - Wilson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Reynolds shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wilson napping and manages to drive through into side control! Reynolds is breathing heavily. Wilson is trying to control but can't.
Reynolds stands up and beckons Wilson to join him on the feet. Wilson drives through and clinches with Reynolds against the cage.

Wilson has Reynolds pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Reynolds manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Monty Reynolds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stefen Wilson. Reynolds's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Wilson can't find room to land a body shot as Reynolds controls the action.

Reynolds avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Reynolds shoots and misses and Wilson counters with a takedown into side control. Reynolds is trying to get back to half guard. Reynolds is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Wilson's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Reynolds is trying to control but can't.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. It looks like Wilson is going to stand back up.

Reynolds is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Wilson pulls him back up using the underhooks. Wilson goes for a takedown in the clinch but Reynolds prevents it.
Reynolds's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Reynolds ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Wilson dodges the punch combination from Reynolds.
Reynolds moves into the clinch. Reynolds effectively controlling the action here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Wilson is struggling to control the position. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Reynolds.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Monty Reynolds. Reynolds fails with a takedown attempt from distance. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Monty Reynolds. Wilson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Reynolds is looking for a sweep. Wilson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Reynolds keeps working. Stefen Wilson has got the better of the ground game so far. Reynolds sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Reynolds wants to control but Wilson is keeping busy and won't allow it. Wilson seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wilson wants to stand but Reynolds has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Reynolds pushes Wilson off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Reynolds is looking to clinch but Wilson is avoiding it.
Reynolds shoots for a double leg takedown but Wilson sprawls well. He's pushed Reynolds's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Wilson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Reynolds wants to control but Wilson postures up. Reynolds is not content to let Wilson control the position. Wilson is staying tight to Reynolds's torso, preventing him from escaping. Wilson misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

A close second round but Stefen Wilson will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Reynolds darts in and clinches Wilson up against the cage. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Wilson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Reynolds just stands there and leans against the cage.

Reynolds throws a leg kick but Wilson checks it. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Reynolds is defended easily by Wilson. Wilson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wilson scores with a spinning back kick! Reynolds slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Reynolds clobbers Wilson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Reynolds!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Reynolds throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Wilson on the side of the head. Wilson missing with a left hand there. Reynolds was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Wilson tries to clinch and Reynolds counters with a left and a right that stings Wilson. Reynolds throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wilson's waist but Wilson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Reynolds off to one side. Wilson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Reynolds tries to avoid it but Wilson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Reynolds to the ground. Reynolds escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Reynolds looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Wilson tries to clinch up but Reynolds circles away and keeps his distance. Monty Reynolds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A nice combination there by Reynolds.
Reynolds drives through with a takedown into guard. Wilson is wriggling around but Reynolds manages to pass to half guard.
Reynolds is trying to control the action in half guard but Wilson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reynolds trying to control the pace. Monty Reynolds has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Reynolds drops an elbow to the side of Wilson's head. Reynolds is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
