Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Mezza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Jayden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jayden throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Mezza misses with an uppercut.

Mezza rushes Jayden and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Jayden tries to land knees in the clinch but Mezza avoids the damage to the body.
Mezza can't break the clinch.

Jayden pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mezza throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Mezza doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Mezza takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Jayden feints and as Mezza raises his hands in defense, Jayden changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Mezza wants to stand up but Jayden is controlling him.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A jab lands there for Mezza.
Mezza tries to clinch but Jayden moves out of range.
A solid leg kick lands there for Jayden.
Mezza is breathing heavily.
Jayden moves out of range of the strikes.
Jayden misses with a head kick.

Mezza throws a right and a left that Jayden avoids nicely.
Jayden connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Jayden closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jayden lands in his opponent's guard.
