Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Sanford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fred Sanford will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dave Davis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fred Sanford! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab lands there for Sanford. Davis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Sanford looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Davis moves into the clinch. Davis pulls guard successfully.
Sanford trying to control but Davis is working from the bottom. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Davis is trying to keep Sanford in close.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanford trying to stand up but can't free himself from Davis's guard. Sanford controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Davis is controlling Sanford's posture. Sanford wants to stand but Davis is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nice takedown defense from Sanford. No joy for Davis on that attempt. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Davis. Fred Sanford is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Davis dives in and grabs Sanford's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sanford pushes down on Davis's head and hops out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Davis is defended easily by Sanford. Sanford displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Dave Davis has been cut. Davis clinches. Davis gets control of Sanford's arms and successfully pulls guard. Davis will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Sanford postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Davis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sanford, into his guard. Davis trying to control but Sanford is working from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanford can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Davis stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanford swivels though and keeps the full guard. Davis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Davis trying to control but Sanford is working from the bottom. Sanford utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Sanford wants to sweep but no luck. Davis looking to pass the guard. Sanford is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Davis takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Davis is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanford looks to land a combination but Davis avoids it well. The fighters circle momentarily. Sanford darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Sanford lands a nice hook to Davis's body. Davis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Davis takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Sanford throws a series of punches but Davis avoids them all with ease. Davis shoots for a double leg takedown but Sanford sprawls well. He's pushed Davis's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Sanford lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Sanford misses with a double jab.
Sanford lands a left and a right that send Davis crashing to the mat, dazed. Sanford thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Davis is rocked! Sanford throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Davis stumbling backwards into the ropes! Davis bounces back off the ropes towards Sanford, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Sanford lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Sanford celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
