Dragunov comes to the cage accompanied by Respirar você - Capital Inicial. Pumbleski is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by STAIND. Ivan Dragunov is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ivan Dragunov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ican Pumbleski!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pumbleski misses with a looping left.
Pumbleski misses with a two punch combination.
Ican Pumbleski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dragunov clinches up against the cage.

Dragunov gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Pumbleski punching from the bottom.

Dragunov is working for a submission of some sort.
Pumbleski is not content to let Dragunov control the position.
Pumbleski is looking for a sweep. Dragunov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Dragunov wants to free his trapped foot but Pumbleski is holding on for dear life with his legs.
Dragunov wants to control but Pumbleski is keeping him busy.
Pumbleski is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Dragunov is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Pumbleski tries to clinch but Dragunov moves away

so Dragunov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Dragunov pushes down on Pumbleski's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Pumbleski wants to stand back up but Dragunov manages to pass into side control.
Pumbleski wants to control but Dragunov postures up.
Pumbleski is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Dragunov asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Dragunov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Pumbleski knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Pumbleski is not content to let Dragunov control the position.

Dragunov looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Pumbleski managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Dragunov.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Pumbleski gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Pumbleski looking for submissions off his back.

Dragunov seems to be working for a kimura but Pumbleski defends the submission attempt.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Dragunov ducks under a wild hook from Pumbleski.
Dragunov circles away from the clinch attempt

and Dragunov counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Pumbleski throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Pumbleski trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Pumbleski keeping full guard, as Dragunov tries to pass.

Pumbleski is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Pumbleski looks gassed!

Dragunov stands up from Pumbleski's guard - Dragunov perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Horrible takedown by Dragunov or perhaps it was just good defense by Pumbleski which made him look bad.
Pumbleski misses with a hook to the body

and Dragunov counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Pumbleski is trying to force a seperation but Dragunov has the dominant position.

Dragunov drags the fight down to the ground.

Pumbleski got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dragunov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pumbleski has managed to get both his arms back between Dragunov's legs - danger averted.

Pumbleski is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dragunov is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Pumbleski trying to control the position from guard on top but Dragunov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ivan Dragunov dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Dragunov walks into a jab.
Dragunov steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pumbleski.
Dragunov has a takedown stuffed.

Pumbleski shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dragunov is trying to defend but Pumbleski finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Pumbleski passes to full mount!

Pumbleski goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dragunov turns into him and now he's in Pumbleski's guard.

Dragunov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pumbleski, up you get!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Pumbleski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Pumbleski goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Dragunov turns into him and now he's in Pumbleski's guard.
Pumbleski is breathing heavily.

Dragunov gets to his feet. Pumbleski looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Dragunov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Pumbleski is not content to let Dragunov control the position.

Dragunov is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Pumbleski is trying to escape and Dragunov transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Pumbleski is forced to tap! Nice work there by Dragunov! Very nice indeed!
