Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Seriozha Czajkowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Riches (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Riches struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Joe Riches has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Riches! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Riches shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Riches was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Riches throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Czajkowski tries to hold on but Riches postures up. Riches really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Czajkowski. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Czajkowski is looking to get to half guard. Riches moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Czajkowski has worked his arm free - good work by Czajkowski!
Riches wants to lay and pray for a moment but Czajkowski keeps working. Czajkowski can't do much from the bottom here. Riches cracks Czajkowski with an elbow. That is naaassty. Czajkowski can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Riches lands an elbow. Czajkowski manages to get back to half guard. Riches passes the guard and advances to mount! Riches throws some wild stikes that Czajkowski manages to avoid easily.
Riches looks gassed! Czajkowski is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Czajkowski taking shots to the head. Czajkowski wants to hold on but Riches pushes him away. Czajkowski is in all sorts of trouble here.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Czajkowski wants to get back to his feet.

Czajkowski moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Czajkowski manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Riches manages to get himself to full guard.
Czajkowski drops back, looking for a kneebar! Riches looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Riches looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Riches! Czajkowski is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now.

Riches working over Czajkowski with some ground and pound. Czajkowski looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. The fighters are battling for position here. Czajkowski manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Riches must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Czajkowski has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Riches off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Czajkowski fails with the takedown and Riches counters with a takedown into side control. What's Czajkowski going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Czajkowski is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Riches's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Czajkowski kicks Riches off and gets back to his feet. Czajkowski shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Czajkowski is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Czajkowski is looking for a kimura but Riches is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Czajkowski to get the leverage. Czajkowski thows a huge punch but Riches dodges it nicely.

That was a close round but I would say that Seriozha Czajkowski will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Riches throws a series of punches but Czajkowski avoids them all with ease. Czajkowski shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Czajkowski sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Riches defending well though. Czajkowski not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Czajkowski is looking to advance position but Riches won't allow it. Czajkowski thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Czajkowski is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Riches has managed to free his arm - good work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Czajkowski is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Riches sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Czajkowski throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Czajkowski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Riches defends it well. Czajkowski seems to be working for a kimura but Riches defends the submission attempt. Czajkowski is pressing down on Riches's thigh, looking to free his foot. Riches is holding on for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Czajkowski is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Riches won't allow Czajkowski to pass to mount. Riches has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Czajkowski is working away from the top position though. Czajkowski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Riches's head. Czajkowski looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Riches regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Czajkowski.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Czajkowski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Czajkowski has gone for a leg lock! Riches slips out almost immediately though and dives into Czajkowski's guard. Riches stops Czajkowski from standing up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Riches tries to stand but Czajkowski is controlling from the bottom. Riches tries to free his leg and advance position but Czajkowski is retaining full guard. Czajkowski controls Riches momentarily but Riches frees himself. Czajkowski controlling the position. Riches working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Czajkowski pulls Riches in close to prevent any damage. Czajkowski wants to get back to his feet but Riches is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Czajkowski shoots and misses and Riches counters with a nice double leg into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Riches with a flurry of punches that miss. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Seriozha Czajkowski will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Czajkowski is trying to get an arm triangle but Riches is defending well. Czajkowski thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Czajkowski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Riches is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Czajkowski is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Riches has escaped the position, nice work there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Riches is trying to improve his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Czajkowski is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Riches looks calm but he's in trouble here. Czajkowski gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Riches is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Czajkowski lets go of the hold and Riches can pop his arm back in it's socket.
