Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Michael O Leary (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Tavares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Leary comes to the cage accompanied by B.o.B - I'll Be In The Sky. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael O Leary!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brad Tavares!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tavares tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and O Leary is able to avoid easily.

Tavares fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Tavares will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

O Leary is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tavares is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

O Leary looks up at the clock and then as Tavares takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, O Leary smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Tavares takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

O Leary closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
O Leary thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tavares's head.
O Leary tries to pass to full mount but Tavares defends it.

Michael O Leary is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tavares tries to kick O Leary off but O Leary keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Tavares does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for O Leary, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
