Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Benny Faroni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wes Antietam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Antietam comes into a darkened arena with his song building. War Is My Destiny kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Benny Faroni has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Antietam misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Antietam thows a body shot but no joy.
Faroni shoots in and drives through. Antietam sprawls well.
Faroni avoids the head kick by Antietam.
Antietam clinches up against the cage.
Antietam breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Faroni closes this distance looking for a takedown but Antietam circles away.

Faroni is working for an americana but Antietam has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Faroni was thinking about the submission.

Faroni would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Faroni stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Antietam swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Antietam has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Faroni can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Antietam rushes Faroni and presses him up against the cage.
Antietam is pressed up against the cage. Faroni has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Antietam down to the mat. Antietam avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Faroni shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Antietam sprawls well. Antietam wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Faroni gets slowly back to his feet.

That's time! Faroni's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Antietam shoots for a double leg takedown but Faroni sprawls well. He's pushed Antietam's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
