Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike Bowman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rubao Valadares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rubao Valadares will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Bowman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rubao Valadares! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bowman forces Valadares back against the cage and clinches. Bowman pulls guard. Valadares would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bowman holds on and takes a little breather. Valadares stops Bowman from standing up. Valadares wants to control from the top but Bowman keeps moving. Valadares trying to stand up but can't free himself from Bowman's guard. Valadares preventing the sweep. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valadares would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Valadares moves away from the strike by Bowman.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valadares scores with a jab. Bowman acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
It looks like Mike Bowman has been cut. Bowman drives through with a takedown into guard. Valadares is looking for a triangle here but Bowman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Bowman in side control, just content to control the action for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valadares wants to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valadares takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bowman tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Valadares bucks up and tries to throw Bowman off but instead Bowman has got his back! Valadares is trying to get back to his feet but Bowman has full control of the position and if anything, Valadares has just worked his way into a worse spot. Valadares is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Valadares looks gassed! Bowman has good solid back control here. Bowman is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Valadares has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valadares holding both Bowman 's hands and preventing any damage. Bowman lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Valadares trying to get back to his feet but Bowman is in full control for now. Bowman keeps control of the position as Valadares tries to break free.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Valadares is trying to get back to his feet but Bowman has full control of the position and if anything, Valadares has just worked his way into a worse spot. Valadares takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Bowman.

Bowman scores with punches and elbows. Bowman struggling to keep hold of the position.

Nice sprawl there from Valadares as Bowman shoots in. Bowman moves into the clinch successfully.
Valadares wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bowman breaks from the clinch.
Valadares tries to work over Bowman's front leg with a kick but Bowman checks it. Valadares pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Valadares rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bowman moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Valadares throws a sloppy head kick and Bowman moves out of range easily. Bowman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bowman working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Valadares pushes Bowman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bowman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Bowman working the head and body with strikes. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bowman looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Bowman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Valadares sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valadares is looking to escape. Valadares tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Bowman manages to move to mount!
Valadares tries to lock up and control but Bowman gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Valadares looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Bowman working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. Valadares has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bowman scores with punches and elbows. Valadares holding both Bowman 's hands and preventing any damage. Bowman connects with a big shot to the side of Valadares's head.
Valadares is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Bowman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Bowman is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Bowman gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Bowman gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Bowman apologises and we restart here on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bowman is trying hard to land a takedown here. Valadares sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Valadares lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Bowman backs up against the cage.
Bowman looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Valadares! Bowman is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Valadares to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Valadares shrugs it off. Valadares swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. Bowman looking to control and managing it successfully. Valadares's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Bowman controlling the pace for now. Valadares really wants to buck Bowman off and get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Valadares is trying to reverse the position but instead Bowman has taken his back - oops! Valadares holding both Bowman 's hands and preventing any damage. The referee is taking a good look at Valadares as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Bowman!
Bowman is punishing Valadares with strikes - can he finish him?! Valadares avoids the strikes from Bowman. Valadares is trying to get back to his feet but Bowman has full control of the position and if anything, Valadares has just worked his way into a worse spot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bowman looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Valadares throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Valadares throws a head kick that misses. Valadares throws a right and a left that both miss. Bowman checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Bowman swats away the attempt to clinch by Valadares. Bowman tries to close the distance and clinch but Valadares swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Valadares misses with a takedown and Bowman counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Bowman. Bowman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bowman stands up and waves to Valadares to follow him. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valadares fails to land with a series of punches.
Bowman clinches up with Valadares and pushes him back against the cage. Bowman's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Valadares misses with a double jab.
Bowman instigates a clinch. Bowman drops down looking for an ankle pick but Valadares pulls his leg out and moves away.
Valadares fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Bowman scores a takedown into full mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Valadares is trying to stand up. Bowman content just to control the position here. Bowman working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Bowman trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valadares trying desperately to get to his feet.
Valadares is wriggling around trying to escape.
Bowman takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. A nice elbow there by Bowman. Valadares is trying to stand. Bowman trying to control but Valadares is having none of it. Valadares gets back to half guard. Bowman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Valadares pushes Bowman off but Bowman dives into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Valadares is not content to let Bowman control the position. Bowman prevents Valadares from escaping the position. Bowman controls the position from side control. Valadares tries to escape back to his feet but Bowman has kept hold of him... Oh, now he's got Valadares's back and is looking for the choke... Is it? Is it sunk in? YES! Valadares is tapping! Bowman saw the opportunity and took it - ruthless!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Mike Bowman!
