The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
langlais defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Mae.
langlais throws a body punch but Mae moves out of range.
Mae uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by langlais.
Mae fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
langlais throws a head kick that misses.
langlais will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
langlais lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by langlais.

It looks like Nomi Mae has been cut.

Mae shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches langlais napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mae is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. langlais looks calm but he's in trouble here. Mae gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. langlais is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Mae lets go of the hold and langlais can pop his arm back in it's socket.
