The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Pinto or perhaps it was just good defense by Vega which made him look bad.
Pinto shoots for a takedown but Vega saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Pinto fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jose Pinto. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pinto gets a takedown into half guard.
Vega looking for submissions off his back.
Pinto is trying to control the action in half guard but Vega is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Pinto trying to mount his opponent but Vega defends it.

Pinto thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Vega to regain full guard.
Vega escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pinto gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pinto is breathing heavily.
Vega has his feet on Pinto's thighs here. He's pushed Pinto off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Pinto screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
