Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Josephis Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josephis Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ken Parker! The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A decent looking body kick lands there for Smith. Smith misses with an attempted mid kick.
Nice body kick from Smith. Smith avoids the head kick by Parker.
Parker blocks a head kick by Smith.
Parker closes the distance and clinches. Parker jumps guard and drags Smith to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Parker throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Smith trying to control the position from guard on top but Parker is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Parker managing to control the position. Parker manages to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Josephis Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Parker is looking to land body kicks. Parker moves out of range of the body kick. Parker looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well. Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Parker moves out of range easily. Smith scores with a leg kick.
Smith throws a head kick that misses and Parker moves into the clinch. Smith gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Parker.
Smith tries to circle away but Parker has him pinned against the cage. Smith wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Parker has him pressed against the cage. Smith has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Smith is looking to break free of the clinch but Parker has double underhooks. Parker lands a shot to the body. Parker breaks the clinch.
Smith pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker blocks a head kick by Smith.
Smith gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Parker sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Smith's guard. Parker thows a huge punch but Smith dodges it nicely.
Parker is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Parker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Parker controlling the action here. Parker looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Smith is controlling Parker's trapped leg to prevent Parker from advancing to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Parker is thwarting Smith's attempts to control the position. Parker is keen to just control but Smith is a slippery customer. Smith avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Parker. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ken Parker dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A telegraphed right hand from Smith misses the target. Smith thows a body kick. Parker tries to catch it but that hurt him. Parker takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Smith defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Parker. Parker moves out of range of the body kick. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Smith. Parker shrugs it off though. Smith gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Parker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smith swivels though and keeps the full guard. Smith not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Parker wants to control from the top but Smith keeps moving. Parker is breathing heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Smith is looking to sweep but instead, Parker has passed into half guard.
Parker wants to take a breather but Smith is having none of it.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Parker shoots in for a double leg but Smith sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Smith tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Parker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Parker explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. No luck with that takedown attempt from Parker. Josephis Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Parker. Parker on the wrong end of a kick to the body.

A chopping leg kick lands by Smith. Smith looks for the body kick but Parker saw that one coming. Parker has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Smith. Smith throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Smith throws a body kick the misses and Parker counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Smith has had enough of the clinch but Parker keeps him there for the moment. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Smith can't break the clinch.
Parker prevents Smith from breaking the clinch. Parker tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Smith just stands there and leans against the cage. Smith is trying to break free. Parker tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Parker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Parker is defended easily by Smith. Smith looks to land a body kick but Parker moved away. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Smith. Parker shrugs it off though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Parker takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Smith looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Parker takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Parker is defended easily by Smith. Josephis Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Parker. Smith throws a nice outside leg kick.

Parker takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Parker crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Smith - the referee stops the clock and Parker gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Smith. Parker manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Smith lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Smith scores with a push kick. Parker tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Smith throws a head kick that half lands.
Parker moves out of range as Smith throws a body kick.
Parker tries for a takedown but Smith sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Parker takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Parker's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Smith throws a nice head kick!
Parker walks forward, straight into a front kick from Smith. Smith throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Parker fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Smith throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Josephis Smith has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Ken Parker is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Smith scores with a spinning back kick!
And that's the end of the fight! Josephis Smith showed his dominance in that final round. I think Parker has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
