Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexis Arguello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seppo Suomela (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Seppo Suomela enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alexis Arguello!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Seppo Suomela!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arguello misses with a jab, cross combination.
Arguello does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Suomela moves out of range of the leg kick from Arguello.
Suomela displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Arguello throws out the jab.
Suomela shoots for a takedown but Arguello saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Suomela feints and as Arguello raises his hands in defense, Suomela changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Suomela with a flurry of punches that miss.
Arguello is trying to keep Suomela in close.
Suomela thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Arguello keeping moving, preventing Suomela from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Suomela won't allow Arguello to sweep him here.
Suomela drops back looking for a leg! Arguello is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Arguello manages to kick Suomela off! Suomela jumps back into Arguello's guard.
Arguello is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Suomela checks a leg kick.
Arguello connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Suomela momentarily.
Alexis Arguello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Arguello misses with a straight left.
Suomela uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Arguello.
Suomela blocks a low kick nicely.

Suomela is keen to just control but Arguello is a slippery customer.

Suomela fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Arguello avoids it really well and circles away.

Arguello leaves Suomela with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Alexis Arguello has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Seppo Suomela.

Arguello manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Suomela manages to get himself to full guard.
Arguello postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Arguello stands and throws Suomela's legs to the side, diving into side control.
You can see the frustration on Suomela's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suomela is looking for a sweep.
Arguello is trying to get an arm triangle but Suomela is defending well.
Arguello sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Suomela is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Suomela sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Seppo Suomela will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Arguello finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Arguello tries to bum rush Suomela with a series of wild strikes but Suomela uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Suomela drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Suomela is looking to take a break and control but Arguello is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Suomela tries to score with some ground and pound. Arguello controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Arguello tries to bench press Suomela off him but Suomela keeps the position.
Suomela tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Suomela has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Suomela wants to lay and pray for a moment but Arguello keeps working.

Suomela is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Arguello knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Suomela is breathing heavily.
Arguello sneaks back into half guard.
Arguello slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Suomela's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Suomela is looking to stand up but Arguello won't let him.
Arguello had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Suomela defends it easily.
Arguello is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
No joy there for Arguello, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Arguello tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Arguello is working for takedown but Suomela is calmly controlling the position for now.

Suomela looking for a triangle here. Arguello is fighting it but it looks tight! Suomela pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Arguello is tapping out - this one is all over!
