Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ryan Lin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, John McLane! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McLane tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Lin throws a head kick that half lands.
McLane throws a head kick but Lin moves out of range.
Lin swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McLane fails with a takedown attempt. Lin tries a head kick but it misses.
McLane shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lin sprawls well. Lin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. McLane gets slowly back to his feet. Lin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. McLane shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ryan Lin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John McLane. McLane looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Horrible takedown by McLane or perhaps it was just good defense by Lin which made him look bad. Lin lands a big head kick that sends McLane tumbling to the mat! Lin takes a step backwards and waves McLane back to his feet - he wants the finish! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
That's one minute gone in the round. McLane shoots in and drives through. Lin sprawls well. Lin throws a head kick that misses. Ryan Lin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Lin throws a head kick but McLane moves out of range.

Lin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from McLane. Lin looks to land a combination but McLane avoids it well. Lin is breathing heavily. Lin throws a head kick but McLane moves out of range.

McLane shoots in but Lin avoids the takedown attempt easily. McLane shoots in for a takedown but Lin shows good takedown defense. McLane avoids the head kick by Lin.
McLane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lin tries to avoid it but McLane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lin to the ground. Lin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lin throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McLane shoots in for a takedown but Lin shows good takedown defense. McLane fails with the takedown. Lin throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

McLane uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lin.
McLane shoots in looking for a takedown. Lin tries to sprawl out of it but McLane keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. McLane looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lin! McLane is in the full mount, landing strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McLane jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lin is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lin and McLane has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Lin wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! McLane is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lin knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. McLane swings around for an armbar but Lin sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into McLane's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. McLane is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Lin would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McLane has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lin off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Lin dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
McLane fails to land the takedown. Lin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

McLane throws a right hand that Lin ducks under and follows up with a left that Lin also avoids with ease. Lin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. McLane blocks a head kick by Lin.
McLane fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lin avoids it really well and circles away. McLane blocks a head kick by Lin.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McLane gets in close and instigates a clinch. McLane has Lin pressed against the cage, preventing Lin from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. McLane jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lin walks away with a smile on his face. McLane gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Ryan Lin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John McLane. Lin tries a head kick but it misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. McLane misses with a wild body shot. McLane bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. McLane lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lin down.
McLane cracks Lin with a big elbow. Lin wants to control but McLane postures up. McLane lands a decent elbow from side control. McLane lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lin down.
McLane wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lin, who protects the arm well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McLane is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lin is trying to control McLane's posture but McLane avoids it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lin is trying to improve his position. McLane is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lin has escaped the position, nice work there. McLane is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Lin is trying to escape and McLane transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Lin is forced to tap! Nice work there by McLane! Very nice indeed!
