Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bezerra da Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Faber displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Silva.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Faber but Faber pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Faber tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Faber manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bezerra da Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Silva wants to slow Faber down by chopping away at his legs.
Faber stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Faber wants it to stay on the feet.

Faber is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Silva is just riding it out for now. Faber eventually gives up the hold.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Silva dives in and grabs Faber's left leg, looking for a takedown. Faber pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.

and Faber counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

and Faber decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Silva's guard.
