Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christoph Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Melendez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is El Coo Cooi . Christoph Miller will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Melendez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Miller did well to prevent Melendez getting side control.

Melendez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Miller does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Miller won't allow Melendez to pass to mount.
Miller is not content to let Melendez control the position.
Miller is looking to control Melendez's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Miller avoid being mounted?
Miller is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Melendez is staying active.
Melendez drops an elbow to the side of Miller's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Melendez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Miller really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Melendez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Melendez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Miller keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Melendez passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Miller!

Miller is bucking up trying to escape but Melendez cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Melendez tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
