Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Radbod Blank and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mareklidis pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mareklidis is looking to land body kicks.
Owens swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Owens throws a series of punches but Mareklidis moves out of range.
Owens clinches.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Mareklidis connects with a nasty looking knee right to Owens's face.
It looks like Wayne Owens has been cut.
Mareklidis has Owens pushed against the cage.
Mareklidis pushes off an throws an elbow but Owens leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Mareklidis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Mareklidis looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Owens is trying to stand up here but Mareklidis is controlling him well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
