The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hyland defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Faulkner.

Faulkner takes the fight into the clinch.

Hyland is trying to break the clinch but Faulkner is controlling him.

Hyland jumps guard and drags Faulkner to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Hyland wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Faulkner manages to pass to side control.

Faulkner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hyland is looking to escape.

Hyland is rocked!
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Faulkner postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Hyland badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Faulkner around the waist but Faulkner pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Faulkner is the winner by TKO! Faulkner jumps onto the ropes and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
