Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeffrey Luke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Cross David! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! David tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Luke paws at him with a jab and circles away. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! David moves forwards but Luke connects with a nice, crisp jab. David closes the distance and clinches. Luke wants a takedown.
David goes for a takedown in the clinch but Luke prevents it.
David swings wildly with an uppercut but Luke uses good head movement to avoid it. Luke prevents a takedown attempt there.
Luke's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Luke avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Luke rushes David and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. David avoiding damage as Luke throws knees to the body.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Luke obliges. Both guys are working to get underhooks. David effectively controlling the action here. The crowd are getting on David's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch. Luke trying to land knees to the body.

David trying to advance position but Luke counters by regaining guard. David trying to control the position from guard on top but Luke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. David prevents Luke from getting back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Luke plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

That's going to take a lot out of Cross David. David tries to clinch but Luke is having none of it. David moves into the clinch. David is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. David wants a takedown but no success here.
Luke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Luke thuds his shin into the meat of David's side. Luke misses with a head kick.

David trying to control the position from guard on top but Luke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. David looking to pass the guard. Luke wants to stand and escape but David is having none of it. Luke is controlling David's posture. Davidis looking to pass into half guard but Luke pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Luke is in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! David seems keen to control Luke's posture. David has a closed guard, preventing Luke from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David fails to land the takedown. A slapping body kick lands there for Luke. A head kick from Luke lands but David takes it in his stride. David misses the shot to the body. Luke connects with a looping right hand.

Luke cracks David with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Luke thows a body kick. David tries to catch it but that hurt him. David is breathing heavily. Luke throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A head kick from Luke lands but David takes it in his stride. Luke takes the fight into the clinch. David takes a knee right on the jaw!

David passes Luke's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Luke is staying active underneath David, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Luke keeps control of the position for the meantime. David seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Luke does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Luke moves into the clinch. David has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Luke clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! David looking to hold on to the position here but Luke rolls and ends up regaining guard.
David won't allow Luke to get back to his feet. David is pushing down on Luke's leg trying to pass to half guard. Luke is fighting to maintain full guard but David has managed to sneak the leg through. Luke keeping hold of David's head, controlling as best he can. David trying to mount his opponent but Luke defends it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. David trying to control from Luke's half guard. Luke has other ideas though and has regained full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. David trying to control the action but Luke is working from the bottom. David stalling away here and it's allowed Luke to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. David pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Luke is keeping the position for now. David trying to control the position from guard on top but Luke is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Luke is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. David looking to sit in guard and control but Luke gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. David looking for a sweep. Not yet David, not yet. Jeffrey Luke is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Luke throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by David. Luke lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Luke misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

David tries to close the distance and clinch but Luke swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. David tries to clinch but Luke moves out of range. Cross David has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! David throws a solid leg kick but Luke takes the impact on his shin and smiles at David. Luke lands with a slapping head kick. Luke moves into range and clinches up with David.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luke escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
David closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. David landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Luke is not content to let David control the position. David lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Luke down.
The strikes coming from David are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Luke gets back to half guard. David looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
David is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Luke doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time David.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeffrey Luke showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Luke, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
