Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matty Ganns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Marston!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ganns tries to land a leg kick but Marston saw it coming and moves away.
Ganns misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Marston takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Marston lands a jab.
Jab, jab by Marston - just one landing.
Marston throws a series of strikes that have Ganns backpedaling.
Ganns takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Marston rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ganns moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Ganns doesn't manage to clinch there - Marston circles away.
Ganns with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Marston to score with a decent uppercut.
Ganns is rocked!
Ganns throws a solid leg kick but Marston takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Ganns.
Marston scores with a jab.
Oh Ganns is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Marston drops Ganns with a straight right hand, right on the button! Marston follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Marston!
