Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Miscovic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergei Fedorov! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Miscovic is defended easily by Fedorov. Fedorov looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Fedorov stuffs the takedown attempt from Miscovic. Miscovic gets slowly back to his feet. Fedorov throws a right and a left that Miscovic avoids nicely. Sergei Fedorov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Fedorov as Miscovic shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Miscovic. That's going to take a lot out of him. Miscovic tries to clinch up but Fedorov circles away and keeps his distance. Miscovic lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Miscovic chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Miscovic shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Miscovic looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Miscovic will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Miscovic throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Miscovic sitting and controlling from the half guard. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Fedorov has eaten all the pies!
That's one minute gone in the round. Miscovic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fedorov does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Miscovic is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Fedorov is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Miscovic wants to free his trapped foot but Fedorov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Fedorov is looking to control Miscovic's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Fedorov avoid being mounted?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Miscovic closes the distance and clinches up with Fedorov, looking for a takedown. Miscovic pushes Fedorov against the cage but Fedorov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Fedorov displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Miscovic. Miscovic shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fedorov as he jumps to the side. Fedorov scores with a jab. Miscovic acknowledges it with a nod of the head. A punch combination from Fedorov misses. Miscovic misses with the combination.

Fedorov instigates a clinch. Fedorov manages to break the clinch.
Miscovic tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fedorov swats him away and circles back towards the center. Miscovic tries to clinch but Fedorov moves out of range. Fedorov fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fedorov shoots in for a double leg but Miscovic sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Miscovic throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fedorov's waist but Fedorov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Miscovic off to one side. Fedorov has taken the fight to the clinch.
Fedorov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Fedorov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Fedorov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miscovic. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Miscovic trying to control the position from guard on top but Fedorov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miscovic postures up.
Fedorov keeping moving, preventing Miscovic from controlling successfully. Fedorov manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Miscovic manages to get himself to full guard.
Miscovic wants to get back to his feet but Fedorov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Miscovic lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fedorov! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fedorov is squirming around, avoiding Miscovic's attempts to control the action. Miscovic misses with a head shot. Fedorov looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ivan Miscovic dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Fedorov shoots in for a takedown but Miscovic shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Fedorov keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Miscovic tries for a takedown but Fedorov circles away easily so Fedorov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Miscovic wants to sweep here but Fedorov controlling him for the moment. Miscovic manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Fedorov sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Miscovic wants to take a breather but Fedorov is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fedorov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Miscovic's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Miscovic's back! You can see the frustration on Miscovic's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Miscovic fending off the submission attempt from Fedorov. Miscovic just trying to survive but Fedorov is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Miscovic rolls, trying to escape but Fedorov keeps control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Fedorov just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Miscovic in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Fedorov controlling his opponent. Miscovic tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fedorov wants to control the pace but Miscovic is squirming around nicely. Miscovic reaches up to try and control the position but Fedorov seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Miscovic rolls and tries to escape and now Fedorov has his back!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sergei Fedorov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Miscovic throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Fedorov because Miscovic loaded up on that one. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Miscovic looking to control but Fedorov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Miscovic prevents Fedorov from getting the reversal.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miscovic lands a big elbow. Fedorov wants to control but Miscovic is having none of it. Fedorov really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Nice work there by Fedorov and Miscovic has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Fedorov gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Miscovic thows a huge punch but Fedorov dodges it nicely.
Fedorov wants to control but Miscovic is keeping busy and won't allow it. Fedorov is refusing to be controlled, as Miscovic sits in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Miscovic not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Miscovic wants to free his trapped foot but Fedorov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Miscovic wants to control but Fedorov is keeping him busy.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Miscovic throws a leg kick but Fedorov checks it. Good leg kick by Fedorov there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Fedorov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Miscovic. Miscovic swats away the attempt to clinch by Fedorov. Miscovic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Miscovic closes the distance looking to clinch and Fedorov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Miscovic's guard now. Fedorov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
