Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Psycho Sam! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Allan Hammond! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammond shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hammond decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Sam, up you get! Hammond shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hammond showed some decent athleticism there. Hammond seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hammond is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Sam trying to hold on to Hammond's head to control him but Hammond postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Hammond is taking a breather. Sam says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Sam trying to hold on to Hammond's head to control him but Hammond postures up.
Hammond is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Sam has managed to free his arm - good work. Sam wants to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sam is working hard here to advance position. Sam blocking the ground and pound attempt from Hammond.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hammond moves into range and clinches up with Sam. Sam breaks the clinch.
Sam is looking to clinch but Hammond is avoiding it.
Hammond misses with a wild combination.
Sam drives through and clinches with Hammond against the cage.
A short right from Sam. Sam escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sam tries to close the distance and clinch but Hammond swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Sam fails with the takedown and Hammond counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sam won't be happy with that. Hammond lands some shots froms side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammond goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sam has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hammond but great work by Sam. Hammond looks gassed! Hammond tries to buck Sam off but Sam is having none of it. Sam tries to advance to mount but Hammond denies him. Hammond is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hammond sneaks back into half guard. Sam blocks the strikes from Hammond.
Sam not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Sam thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Hammond won't allow Sam to pass to mount. Sam knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hammond on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Hammond tries to keep at a distance but Sam has taken the fight into the clinch. Sam wants to break the clinch but can't.
Hammond tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sam smiles and moves away.
Sam shoots in but no luck this time. Hammond wants to clinch but Sam slips to the side and Sam holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Sam fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Psycho Sam. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sam fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Hammond has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sam is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Hammond fails to pull guard.
Sam gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Come on Sam - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Sam throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hammond blocks it with crossed arms. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Allan Hammond dominated that round. That's time! Sam's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hammond looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sam really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sam is looking to escape. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sam is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammond is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Hammond is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hammond wants to take a breather but Sam is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sam wants to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hammond gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Hammond takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Sam has Hammond up against the cage in a clinch.

A short uppercut from Sam. Sam has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Hammond avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Sam manages to break the clinch.
Hammond looks to land a combination but Sam avoids it well. Sam fails with the takedown and Hammond decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Sam's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammond is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Hammond gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Hammond avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sam looks for a takedown but Hammond sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Psycho Sam. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hammond clinches. Hammond breaks from the clinch.
Hammond shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammond prevents Sam from standing back up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Hammond is looking for a kimura here.
Sam is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Allan Hammond showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Hammond throws a head kick that misses and Sam counters with a lovely shot to the body. Sam avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sam closes the distance and clinches. Sam ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sam no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Hammond stands up from guard. Let's bang! Hammond circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sam stuffs the takedown. Hammond tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Sam fails to land with a series of punches.
Sam tries to clinch but Hammond is having none of it. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Sam fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sam with a poor takedown and Hammond counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hammond. Sam manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sam tries to clinch and Hammond counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Sam uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Sam forces Hammond back against the cage and clinches. Sam tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sam is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Hammond lands a takedown into guard.
Hammond stands up and waves to Sam to follow him. Hammond takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sam gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammond controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Sam is trying to control the position but Hammond postures up. Hammond wants to pass the guard but Sam is keeping the position. Hammond wants to control from the top but Sam keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammond not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sam keeping full guard, as Hammond tries to pass. Psycho Sam has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Sam wriggles free and stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sam tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Hammond paws at him with a jab and circles away. Psycho Sam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hammond looks to throw the jab but Sam is out of range. Sam fails with the takedown and Hammond counters with a shoot takedown. Sam fights it but they end up in guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Psycho Sam. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hammond is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Sam is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Allan Hammond has got the better of the ground game so far. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hammond keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Sam's head.
And that's the end of the fight! Allan Hammond comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Hammond winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
