Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chino Bandito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shane Adkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chino Bandito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shane Adkins!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bandito throws a right hand that Adkins ducks under and follows up with a left that Adkins also avoids with ease.
Bandito misses with a two punch combination.
Adkins shoots in but Bandito avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bandito pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Adkins gets the takedown into side control.
Bandito misses with an elbow from the bottom.
Bandito tries to bench press Adkins off him but Adkins keeps the position.
Bandito gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Adkins is controlling the pace.
Adkins prevents Bandito from improving his position.

Adkins looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bandito won't allow Adkins to pass to mount.
Bandito is trying to maintain the position but Adkins is very close to passing his half guard.
Adkins is looking to take a break and control but Bandito is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bandito gets full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bandito scores with a couple of body punches from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bandito is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bandito is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Adkins is just riding it out for now. Bandito eventually gives up the hold.
Bandito is breathing heavily.
Bandito wants to take a breather but Adkins is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Adkins can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bandito is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Adkins defends it well.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Bandito frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Bandito lands a big elbow.

Adkins is in a horrible position here. Bandito smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


No luck for Adkins with that takedown attempt.

Bandito has managed to clinch.

Adkins drags the fight down to the ground.

Adkins has his foot on Bandito's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bandito works his way back into a safe position though.

Bandito is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bandito drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bandito jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Adkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bandito. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bandito pushes down on Adkins's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Adkins takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Bandito wants to lay and pray for a moment but Adkins keeps working.
Bandito misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Adkins tries to control but Bandito manages to take his back.
Adkins rolls, trying to escape but Bandito keeps control of the position.

Adkins is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Bandito has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bandito is looking for the choke from the back position but Adkins is controlling his hands well.
Adkins tries to break free.

Adkins rolls, trying to escape but Bandito keeps control of the position.
Adkins breaks Bandito's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Adkins advances position into side control!

Adkins stands up and beckons Bandito to his feet.

Adkins shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bandito as he jumps to the side.
Nice takedown defense from Bandito. No joy for Adkins on that attempt.
Chino Bandito has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Adkins.

Bandito shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bandito showed some decent athleticism there.

Bandito is pressing down on Adkins's thigh, looking to free his foot. Adkins is holding on for now.
Adkins is staying active underneath Bandito, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Chino Bandito overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bandito working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

That's time! Bandito's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Bandito throws a jab but it's blocked by Adkins.
Adkins takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Bandito misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

and Adkins counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bandito's guard now.
Bandito bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Adkins's guard.

Adkins looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Bandito wants to control from the top but Adkins keeps moving.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bandito in particular looking to stall.

Bandito can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Adkins is looking to escape.

Bandito is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Adkins is surviving well by controlling Bandito's body position as best he can.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Adkins manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Adkins seems to have recovered his senses.

Bandito wants to advance to full mount but Adkins doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Shane Adkins has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Adkins had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Bandito is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Adkins Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Bandito's back instead.

And that's the end of the fight!
Chino Bandito showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Bandito has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
