Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brooks Staal!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Qualls tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Staal punishes Qualls's body with a nice straight punch.
Qualls pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Staal throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Qualls.
Staal connects with a right hand. Qualls shakes it off.
Qualls throws a leg kick but Staal sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Qualls fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice straight punches there by Staal. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Staal.
Qualls wants to clinch up but Staal keeps it at a distance.
Brooks Staal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Staal scores with a one two! Qualls had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Staal jabs Qualls right on the nose. Qualls blinks but takes it well.
Staal throws a good cross that connects.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Qualls takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Qualls closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Staal connects with a single shot there.
Qualls is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Qualls pivots, looking for a leg kick but Staal is out of range and Qualls settles back down.
Qualls throws a sloppy head kick and Staal moves out of range easily.
Staal scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Qualls doesn't seem bothered though.
Staal lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Staal lands a head shot.

Qualls swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Staal drops Qualls with a beautiful combination! Qualls stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Staal is looking for the KO!

Oh Qualls is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Qualls tries to clinch but Staal moves out of range.
Staal lands a nice looking body shot.
Qualls seems to have got his legs back now.
Qualls is breathing heavily.
Staal digs a good body shot into Qualls's ribs.
Staal fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Qualls takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Staal changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Qualls takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Staal displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Staal Rushes Qualls and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Qualls is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Staal Piles on the pressure and Qualls crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
